Dwelling: Intertwined

Created by: Alexander Johnsson, Kristina Striewe, Palina Siarheyeva, and Kaylee Lamb

In the fall of 2021 I studied abroad at Lund University as a part of my Masters. Here I participated in a competition with three other international students. Our group consisted of Alex, from Sweden, Kristina from Germany, Palina from Belarus, and myself from America. Due to our diverse backgrounds, we each approached this project differently. This however, was a huge help in pushing our proect past anything any of us could have created alone. Taking in mind the state of the Berlin community in a covid era, we looked into how offices, that were slowly emptying as more companies implemented work from home could become places of home themselves. Creating housing while simultaneously decreasing commute time, and encouraging the use of space that typically is unused past 6pm. This concept was shown through inhabitants relations to each other at different times of the day.
